Kia ora e te whānau,
Last week we were fortunate to have Corey from Cricket Wellington and ex Tawhai parent, Amanda Williamson who is the Junior convener for the Stokes Valley Cricket Club come along to take a fun session after school.
After a couple of warmup games, it was down to a ‘quick’ game of cricket. The children were divided into two groups of batters and fielders. Two batters had to hit 6 balls off tees and get some runs between the sticks whilst the fielders retrieved the balls and replaced them for the next two batters! Then the teams swapped around! It was such fun that even the kaiwhakaahua had a go!
