Kia ora e te whānau,
It was an action-packed assembly for our most senior ākonga to round off a very busy Term 3!
Elizabeth and Courtney were our very able co presenters and did such an awesome mahi with the numerous items on the agenda!
After the karakia and the National assembly, they presented the student awards. Then we were fortunate that Mrs Poole could be free to come and present the Tumuaki awards, a job she always looks forward to!
Lucy and Aysha had organised a Kahoots quiz for Maori Language Week and had certificates to present to those ākonga who had come either 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in the quiz! Miss Page received the best Teacher award!
Over the last few weeks, seven of the Year 6 ākonga have been participating in a National Mathematics problem solving challenge aimed at Intermediate level! Mrs Johnston presented the tamariki with participation certificates. Well done to all who took part. Special congratulations to Lucy, Miles, Nadine, and Sam who gained merit!
Renee acknowledged both waterpolo teams. The Tawhai White came fourth in their playoff. Tawhai Blue were runners up in the Plate Final and were presented with certificates!
Renee was in turn, presented with a card and a gift for all her mahi with both teams!
The resident kai whakaahua was also very happily surprised with cards, shortcake, and her favourite coffee from mulit-coloured banner waving tamariki. She has been tie dying a storm with all the teams who are going to camp next term and can’t wait to see them in their T shirts!
We had 2 lucky ākonga drawn out of the Ngahere token box and Mr Syph declared Ruma tahe to be the best class!
