Kiā ora e te whānau
Our Ngahere & Kereru Hubs were having certificate assemblies at the same time today, Kereru in the hall and the Ngahere under the whareruruhau, so it was a bit of a mad dash between the two so that resident Whakaahua could capture the wonderful moments!
In the absence of Tumuaki Mrs Poole, Mrs Boese gladly stepped in to present the principal’s awards. There were also ākonga certificates too! Ka pai to all those who received awards!
Daphne, Zoe, & Lina shared some very descriptive writing with their peers in the hall. It was a joy to listen to them proudly read their work!
We have had some wonderful student teachers, Steph, Rachael, and Jordan who have been in the classrooms all week, and this was their last day. During the assembly some of our Senior ākonga paid a wonderful tribute to them by performing the most stirring haka that not only did the student teachers appeared very visibly touched, but the resident whakaahua had wonderful feedback from an exTawhai parent who was walking the Horoeka Street loop track that they could hear it so clearly there and loved it!
Mr McGarry was super excited to share with the tamariki that he had bought some cool prizes for the weekly draw and that 3 Students could be drawn out of the box! Chelsea, James, and Duncan were the lucky ākonga this week!
Ruma Rima and Ruma Rua were declared the best classes!
