Our most senior ākonga celebrated their weekly assembly this morning in the hall.
The very experienced duo of Lucy and Aysha were our co-presenters and as usual did a fantastic mahi of coordinating the items which were included in this assembly.
Mrs Boese very happily presented the Tumuaki awards whilst Lucy and Aysha did the honours with the Ākonga awards.
Jackson also had a couple of Chess Certificates to award: Lucy for 13 checks in 2 weeks and Charlotte for 3 checks! Ka pai Girls!
The tamariki sang very beautifully to a few of their favourite waiata with Miss Page on guitar and the senior Kapa Haka leaders leading the actions!
Heidi delighted us with her extremely well put together PowerPoint celebrating her Tawhai Netball team through their years at Tawhai. Everyone loved looking at all the photos taken over the years, most of all the ones of the team as 5 year olds!
The resident whakaahua ( who thinks she is the Queen of Powerpoints) was especially impressed with Heidi’s efforts and thinks she might be out of a job soon!
Jayah and Kobe were the lucky tamariki drawn out of the Ngahere token box for a prize.
Lastly Miss Page declared Room’s 14 & 15 to be joint winners of the class of the assembly trophy!
