Kia ora o te whānau,
After a rollercoaster of a week with the arctic weather and the cross country event, it was good to get to the relative calmness of Friday and enjoy an assembly courtesy of the Ngahere Hub.
Instead of our usual ākonga co-presenters, Mrs Johnston & Mr Syph did the honours, much to the delight of the assembled tamariki! After both giving their mihi, it was down to the business of them handing out the weekly Student certifciates and Mrs Boese dropped in to present the tumuaki awards.
We have a Pink Shirt Day coming up next Friday 19th May so the values Tu Rangatira, Miles spoke to the ākonga about the upcoming event and answered questions raised during his talk.
The tamariki did some waiata singing during the assembly and our Cultural Tu Rangatira helped with the actions!
Dana & Charli were had their names drawn out of the Ngahere Token Box and Ruma tekau mā whā were declared by Mr Syph to the best class of the assembly!
