Over the last few weeks of term, it was clear that the true spirit of Christmas was inside each and every member of Room 15!
Every child dedicated themselves to our Christmas in a Shoebox project, and made a card for someone at Stokeswood who does not usually get visitors. In this way we were able to Take Notice of what is going on in our community, and try to make a positive difference in some way.
Room 15 students worked hard to decorate their shoeboxes with love, and fill them with a bunch of goodies for children who may not otherwise get a Christmas present. Most students carefully sorted through their own belongings, and others were lucky enough to get to go out shopping for gifts. Our aim was to fill boxes with something to love, something for school, something to play with, something to wear and something for hygiene. Liz from the Salvation Army came to visit us, talk to us about the work of the Salvation Army, and collect our gifts. Everyone had lots of great questions for Liz and was so excited to know that our gifts will be going to good homes.
Awesome work Room 15, and thank you to everyone who donated a shoebox!
