Last term Rm 14 and 15 students worked together on an Inquiry, that involved learning about animals and the ways they survived in their different habitats.
Students worked with a buddy to select an animal, research information about that animal and then find out about its habitat. Then students learnt about physical and behavioural adaptations and how the animal suited and survived where it lived.
The last part of the Inquiry was to create a diorama of the animal’s habitat and present it to the 2 classes.
It was great to see students working well together between the 2 classes, developing research skills, showing creativity and then being able to articulate their learning at the end.
Below are the dioramas that were presented in our sharing session.
