Today we were learning about how to be safe if there is a fire. The Hutt City Fire Brigade came into the Pumpkin Patch and taught us all how to get out of a building if there is a fire. We all practised by crawling under a black blanket to get low away from the smoke.
When in class we talked about calling the fire brigade on 111 and telling them where we lived if there was a fire at home. Some of us didn’t know our home address. Why not ask your child if they know their home address?
All the farmers were so proud of the Pumpkin Patch, they all listened very respectively. A big well done to everyone!
