Room 6 children had their first opportunity on Friday of riding bikes as a class. Rugged up in coats as the wind was bitter, the children biked clockwise around a circuit . I positioned myself as “traffic and speed” controller! Few tumbles were had, and only one person got their shoelace tangled in the chain. (Please encourage your child to master the skill of shoe lace tying if they wear laced shoes to school).
Miss Ryan kindly came and helped those ready to try without trainer wheels.
Everyone seemed to enjoy biking and were proud of their efforts. We look forward to our next session.
