The Year 6 Leavers’ Dinner & Prize Giving

December 18 2019

Our Year 6 Leavers’ dinner was a very much anticipated evening for our gorgeous Students. The first part of the evening was spent enjoying their time together, sharing some very yummy kai including a beautiful cake from Tamiya Callender wishing the Year 6 leavers good luck, busting out those cool dance moves, playing the heads and tails game, enthusiastically watching the Power Point and of course, having photos taken at the wonderful booth courtesy of Mrs Jess Harris!
The second part of the evening was the more formal part, the prize giving! Our M.C’s for the evening were, Olive, Amon and Samara who not only did a wonderful job coordinating the event, but thoroughly entertained us too!
We had great speeches from Angela Whitmarsh, the Board Chairperson and Principal Mrs Poole. Then the Values Awards recipients and trophy recipients were announced.
Congratulations to all student who were given awards. Every Student also received a graduation certificate and special gift paid for by the PTSG.
Following the award ceremony, the Students delighted everyone with a series of dances that they had choreographed themselves which ended in a very stirring Haka!
A VERY big thank you to the RSA for letting us use their fantastic venue.
A HUGE thank you to the PTSG/ BOT/parent helpers who did a fantastic job organising the food brought in by the parents and cleaning up afterwards.
Thank you to Mr Whiteman who organised the event.
Thank you to Jess Harris for providing us with a superb photo booth.
Thank you to all the parents who brought along some wonderful kai for the kids and staff to share!
Again a special thank you to Tamiya Callender for making such an amazing cake!
A full list of the trophy and values awards recipients will be posted very soon!
