Kia ora e te whānau,
There were more than a few tears shed as we farewelled not only our wonderful Year 6 ākonga but kaiako; Mrs Treadwell, Miss Kenworthy, and Miss James and several other Students and their whānau in a very poignant Poroporoaki at 12.00pm today.
When everyone was seated, Mrs Poole warmly welcomed everyone and then invited our wonderful Year 5 tamariki ( who will be the Tu Rangatira of 2024!) to stand. They performed a very stirring and heartfelt haka for our departing Students, kaiako, and whānau!
In turn the Year 6 Students of 2023 responded with their most straight from the heart and give it everything you got haka!
