Kia ora e te whānau,
Our Kura assembled together under the whakaruruhau this morning to hold a Poroporoaki for Sam & Josh Hendra, and to Raphael & Sakura Hart who are leaving our kura today.
After a karakia was said, Mr McGarry gave a welcome and explanation of why we are here (Whaikorero)
Rangi rāua ko papa was then sung by everyone.
Tumuaki, Mrs Poole, in turn gave a very warm whaikorero to our departing whānau.
One of the kura’s favourite songs, Pepeha was then sung so beautifully for the whānau who were seated on the deck.
The Poroporoaki ended with a most stirring and heartfelt haka from the kapa haka group.
Tawhai Kura wish Sam, Josh, Raphael, Sakura, and their whānau all the very best!
