Tālofa lava
Tawhai Kura were very fortunate this morning in having a visit from Jag the Police Dog along with Community Constable Kat and Police Dog Handler Jordy! Assembled under the whakaruruhau, Kat and Jordy talked to the Tamariki about the many roles that Jag and other Police dogs have to help our community!
Jordy showed how the handles on Jag’s coat help him lift the dog over high fences and walls should the need arise. He demonstrated this by lifting Jag high above his head much to the delight of our tamariki!
At the end of the talk, some of our Tamariki were invited to ask questions about Jag.
One of the Tu Rangatira was overjoyed at being selected to play ‘tug of war’ with Jag!
A BIG thank you to Constable Kat and Constable Jordy and of course Jag for coming to visit us at Tawhai!
Several of the photos posted by kind permission from whānau!
