Welcome Back to Tawhai School!
We can’t wait to see everyone back at school on Monday 3 February! Our teachers have been hard at work over the past few days preparing for an exciting term ahead.
A few things to remember:
Arrival Time: Please aim to arrive around 8:30 am so your child has time to settle in before the school day starts. You’re very welcome to pop into the classroom, explore their new space, and connect with their teacher.
Questions or Concerns: If you have any queries, don’t hesitate to check in with your child’s teacher or visit the office—we’re here to help!
Stationery: No worries if your child’s stationery hasn’t arrived yet—there’s no expectation to have it on Day 1.
Food & Drink: Please ensure your child has a drink bottle and plenty of food in their lunchbox to keep them energised throughout the day.
Clothing: With the weather being so unpredictable, it’s a good idea to pack a change of clothes and dress your child in layers.
It’s natural for there to be some first-day nerves (and plenty of excitement!), so please let us know if there’s anything you’re worried about. We’ll do our very best to make sure your child has a smooth and positive transition back into school.
Important Reminder: There is no school on Thursday and Friday. Thursday is Waitangi Day, and Friday is a Teacher Only Day, where our staff will be working with other schools in the cluster on the new structured maths programme.
We’re looking forward to a fantastic term ahead! See you all on Monday!
