Our Kopara Hub enjoyed their usual fortnightly assembly in Room 12 this afternoon but with a difference!
We were delighted to see that there were 2 wonderful ākonga from Room 6, Morgan & James co-presenting this particular assembly. They did a fantastic job as co-presenters speaking with clear voices and beautiful smiles on their faces!
After singing and signing to the National Anthem, Principal Mrs Poole came in to present the Tumuaki awards, something that she says is the highlight of her week! Mrs Lynley Poole presented the Student awards.

Room 6 had been also very busy writing about being in the ‘shoes’ of a piece of unpopped popcorn and what it felt like going into a pan to be popped! We had great descriptive writing shared by Indie, Marlene, Sky, and Armin!
Room 6 also shared a song with the rest of the hub that they have been learning, ‘Superhero’ and the tamariki also sang one of their favourite songs, ‘Believe it or not’.
There was also the introduction of the best class of the assembly award. Mrs Harris had the pleasure of choosing Room 12 to receive the trophy (in the shape of a gorgeous bear!) The trophy will stay in Room 12 for 2 weeks until the next assembly.
