Kia ora e te whānau,
On Tuesday the first of the 3 days of tournament kicked off with our Year 5 & 6 tamariki playing for the prestigious Tawhai Cup.
The round robins were played before morning tea, then it was straight into the finals to decide who were the winners of the Plate, bowl, and shield. Then after lunch we had the very exciting and nerve-wracking grand final between Croatia and Australia.
What an exciting game was witnessed by the rest of the kura who came out to watch and support both teams. It could have gone either way as both teams played so well, but it was Croatia who were the winners. Ka pai to both teams for giving it your all!
It was fantastic to see our tamariki supporting each other during the day, all showing their amazing Tawhai Values.
A BIG thank you to the kaiako, Mr McGarry, Miss Page, Mrs Johnston, Mrs Bui, and Mr Syph who officiated the games.
a Massive thank you to Mr Mcgarry for organising this wonderful event.
Thank you to the parents who came to watch and support your tamariki.
