Kia ora o te whānau,
52 of our Year 4-6 ākonga were selected to attend the Northern/Central Zone Cross Country at Trentham Memorial Park this morning under the care of Mr McGarry and Miss Page assisted by several parent helpers, and Student teacher, Paige Anderson.
Despite the challenging conditions, the ākonga showed the Tawhai values of whakaute, takohanga, ngākau pono, and manawaroa.
Ka pai to everyone who took part in the event and to those who did very well in their events. Official results will be posted as soon as they are made available.
Thank you to Mr McGarry(for organising too!) & Miss Page for taking the ākonga to the event.
A BIG shoutout to the parent helpers who came along to assist the kaiako. It is very much appreciated!
Here are just a few photos so far of the day’s event. The resident whakaahua was able to grab a few shot including a group one & Frankie and Cassie leading the karakia before the group left the kura.
