Kia ora e te whānau,
What an absolutely amazing day was had by everyone for our very special ‘Star’ Day on Friday!
An overwhelming amount of tamariki and just about all our kaiako put in a huge effort to come to the kura dressed as a star, whether it be a sporting one, a movie or rock star, a comic or a book character! You could even be forgiven for thinking that we were at Hogwarts rather than at Tawhai because of the number of Harry Porters who were running around trying to cast spells on everyone else!
There were so many very imaginative and well put together costumes, too many to even mention, but the photos will show you better than the words can!
It was such fun capturing the moments and the sheer joy on the faces of the young ones and adults alike especially under the whakaruruhau when the siblings came together for a special photo as well as group ones too!
During the day, our PB4L leaders, Miles and Liam handed out spot prizes in the form of lollipops.
It was amazingly hard for the kaiako to judge the one best costume, the best group and the most creative for each Hub to receive a small prize.
A HUGE thank you to all our Tawhai whānau for making this happen. The tamariki certainly thoroughly enjoyed the day!
A BIG thank you to the PB4L team of Deb Barnden and Cleo Syph, with support from Ginny
Treadwell for organising this. Thanks also to Miles and Liam for all your hard mahi during the day!
Here are a few photos below for our wonderful day.
