Kia ora e te whānau,
There has been such a hive of activities celebrating Matariki across the kura as we have come to the end of Term 2. As the Matariki New Year falls on the 14th July this year during the school holidays, all the classes have been doing different things to acknowledge Matariki in a range of ways in and out of the classroom, from artwork to kite making, to baking and sharing kai. We have been playing with the rakau sticks and poi throwing. The tamariki have been learning all about the meaning of Matariki. Some of the senior ākonga have also been compiling kahoots questions.
Here is an album of fly-on-the-wall photos taken during the week!
