Kia ora e te whānau,
We are excited to be holding our first whānau hui at school for the year.
Please come and join us on Tuesday 28th March at 5.30pm in Room 1. We will start with karakia and kai. There will be plenty of kai provided for you and your whānau. However, if you would like to bring something to share, kei te pai.
The purpose/kaupapa for this hui is to connect face to face, kōrero any questions that both you and we may have. We will briefly share some of our journey and success so far with you at this hui and are keen to get some feedback. All your feedback will help us shape and plan what happens at Tawhai school moving forward in all areas, and with te reo and te ao māori specifically.
At this hui, we will also be introducing a whānau group project of making korowai for our senior kaitiaki tamariki. We are privileged to have access to a wananga being held on Saturday 1st April to start this amazing journey by learning how to craft this taonga.
If you are not able to attend the Whānau group hui on Tuesday 28th March, but are keen to learn how to make korowai and attend the wananga on Saturday 1st April – please email presidingmember@tawhai.school.nz for more details.
Please email dave@tawhai.school.nz or fill in the google form
https://docs.google.com/…/1FAIpQLScegAgFXDWAz…/viewform to let us know if your whānau intends to come. It would be wonderful if you could join us.
Ngā mihi nui
