Kiā ora e te whānau
The resident whakaahua had such a fun morning capturing the events at the 11th anniversary of the Horoeka Street Family Open Day today!
There was a steady stream of traffic of our wonderful Tawhai whanau visiting the Reserve as well as the wider Stokes Valley community!
There was plenty of activities to engage the tamariki! The Hutt City Council were also on hand, cooking up a storm so everyone could enjoy a sausage in bread! Most decided to take up the 15 minute walk around the track! You could also do a quiz too!
Mrs Boese, helped out by Mr Whiteman and his daughter Elliot, Tumuaki Mrs Poole, and Mrs Lynley Poole manned the Tawhai stall which contained yummy slices (thanks to the Whanau who provided them!), lemons, pears, popcorn, seeds, and a book by local author Leigh Sutton!
Unfortunately the whakaahua could not stay for the afternoon events!
So lovely to catch up with ex-tawhai ākonga as well as Mrs Long!
