Floorball is a fast growing type of hockey played indoors with “plastic” sticks and a light weight plastic ball with holes. Developed in the 1960’s in Sweden, Floorball is a safe, fast and fun sport and easy for people to pick up as other than a stick, no protective gear is required. There are few rules, mainly to make it a safe sport for everyone. We were very fortunate in having Johanna Moss ( who has played floorball nationally for New Zealand and played in a qualifying tournament earlier this year ) & Tessa Lafrentz come along to and teach students across the school how to play the game. Here are some photos of Room’s 1 & 2 enjoying their session.
